FITZPATRICK
Andrea Fitzpatrick graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2002 and is undertaking an MFA at the University of Leeds, supported by the Arts Council’s Professional Development and Training Award. Fitzpatrick has been a member of Galway based artist group, Enso, since 2004 and is currently an inactive member. Fitzpatrick has exhibited with the Situation Leeds Festival 2007, ev+a 2006, Darklight Film Festival 04, Claremorris Open 04, Aurora and CCRevolver. Fitzpatrick also co-curated the Document exhibition (part of the Cúirt International Festival of Literature 2006 and 2007) for the last three years.

Inverleith

The audience view a series of still images of unpopulated spaces that bear the marks of years of use. Signage and equipment indicate the function of this large townhouse. The work is largely silent with curious snippets of conversations providing further clues about the demise of this building.
When the artist studied at Edinburth Collge of Art, Inverleith was a hub of activity and the kitchen served as its core. Since the kitchen’s closure two years ago, Inverleith has deteriorated and will close its doors in July 2007.
