My work centres on relationships between popular cultural trends and political radicalism, particularly within the sphere of youth culture. I am interessted in a certain language of signs and symbols associated with political activism and "alternative" subcultures. I am working with ideas of how people connect with the revolutionary past, how our sense of historical memory is often warped and how we personalise the impersonal nature of history.
