Dick
DONOGHUE

Dick Donaghue is a self-trained artist. Over the last 25 years he has worked in Galway with major arts organisations such as Galway Art Centre, Macnas, Galway Theatre Workshop and Galway Film Centre. He has designed stage sets for two experimental theatre companies, Galway Theatre Workshop and Brink New Play Productions.

He began to concentrate more fully on painting in 1993 and has exhibited in
Ireland, France, Croatia and recently in China with the “6x6 Showcase for Ireland”, in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. In 1996 he exhibited in “Imaginaire Irlandais” with Artspace in Lyon and L’Orient, France. One of his larger pieces, “Seoda Aengus”, is on permanent exhibition at Ceannt Railway Station.

A number of his works are also part of the permanent collection of the Radisson SAS Hotel and GTI in Galway and L’Embarcadére Centre, Lyon, France. Dick is a regular exhibitor in Kenny’s Gallery in Galway.
