For me the 'Horizon' landscape portrays how appearance can distort the reality of what is being observed.
The distant sky meets land or sea and its ethereal line creates the illusion of an ending..
Yet our knowledge informs us of the truth.
My curiosity of what lies beyond the Horizon insights a need for me to fantasize.
The image of boats in a harbour with their sails protruding across the Horizon
offered me a new visual experience and an opportunity to elaborate.
By exploring and manipulating this image with digital photography, fabric print and stitch, possibilities were opened up and I discovered new
methods of re-inventing the landscape.
