ARTSPACE was formed as an artist's collective by a group of Galway-based artists in 1986. ARTSPACE is a company limited by guarantee, and receives its core funding from the Arts Council of Ireland, and Galway City Council.
ARTSPACE policy strives to strengthen the ideal of an artists' collective by upgrading working conditions, and developing employment, educational and exhibition potential. |

Thursday, November 10, 2005 The Tulca Season of Visual Arts 2005
The Tulca Season of Visual Arts 2005 saw Artspace create an exciting and eclectic exhibtion "Between Walls"at the Norman Villa Gallery, Salthill. This exhibtion showcased 15 Artspace artists using a wide variety of mediums ranging from print , painting, photography and performance. Artspace artist Mark Kelly completed a residency at the Starric Gallery in Roundstone, Connemara.Mark is recently showed work in the 'Portrait Ireland' exhibiton in Wexford from July 9th to August 30th 2005. This show highlighted some of the best in comtemporary Irish portraiture.

Sunday, January 26, 2003 Open Days During Tulca 2003 Our open days during the TULCA Festival of Visual Art 2003 had great response from the public who enjoyed a free printmaking workshop at Artspace Studios.Some of the techniques demonstrated over the two days were additive and reductive monoprinting with applied stencilling. Printmaking workshops at artspace studios include Monotype,Drypoint,Carborundum and related techniques.....
